Dale R. Baumchen, 61, of Virginia, died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his home. He was born on July 9, 1956 in Hibbing to Raymond and Urilda (Kinney) Baumchen. Dale had worked for Range Cornice and Roofing, later working at Hibbing Taconite.

He also enjoyed playing board games. He is survived by his wife, Renee̒; sons, Paul Baumchen and Allan (Rebecca Kingbird) Baumchen; grandson, Ayden; his mother, Urilda (Henry) Baumchen; brothers, Ted Baumchen, Thomas (Angie) Baumchen, Louis (Amy) Baumchen, Mark Baumchen; sisters, Jackie White, Jo Baumchen; step-daughters, Ashley Olson (Jay Caroon), Andrea (Jeremiah) Ersbo; step-grandchildren, Danika Dertinger, Morgan Dertinger, Madelyn Ranua, Ellie and Emmett Ersbo; brothers-in-law, Richard (Judy) Strumbell Jr., Robert (Leona) Strumbell; mother-in-law, Rosemary Strumbell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; brothers, Wesley and Eugene; nephew, Eric White; father-in-law, Richard Strumbell Sr. and his former wife, Marilyn Nelson.
