Obituary for Dallin Keith Norton On June 18, 2018, our Champion of a son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away in his sleep from complications related to diabetes. He leaves behind a heartbroken family, including his mother and biggest fan Diane Vincent, his twin brother and friend from birth Curtis, and his sister Robyn (Scott), who considered Dallin her best friend. He also leaves a huge extended family of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who were everything to him.
Dallin had more friends than we can mention, and was dearly loved by the Wasatch Community. He will be missed so much by so many. Dallin was born on November 28, 1986, in Heber City, Utah.
He came into this world with a fighting spirit and a heart as huge as the man he would become. Other than a few and relatively short ventures, Dallin stayed in his beloved Heber Valley. He faced many challenges in his lifetime, not the least being Type I Diabetes from the age of 4 on.
In spite of his strong desire and efforts to keep himself healthy, this terrible disease took its toll on his body over the years. Dallin kept life interesting and fun for all of us. As a little boy, he was full of adventure, charm, and mischief.
During his high school years he won 3 State Championships in wrestling. He was the Greco National Champion, and four time All American. He played and loved football as well, and was selected to the All-State Team three years in a row.
Dallin loved being a part of a team and loved his teammates like family. After graduation Dallin completed an Associate’s Degree at UVU, and wrestled on their team for one season. He worked at several different jobs, and at each job he grew a new family.
Dallin was currently living in Phoenix, attending MMI to become a motorcycle mechanic. He was proud and excited, and was looking forward to starting his new career. At the time of his passing he only had six weeks left before graduation.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Keith and Carma Vincent, Joy Stindt, and his cousin Batynam. Dallin’s father, Steven Norton, also preceded him in death, and this was a loss that Dallin struggled with every day. Besides his friends and family, Dallin had many loves in his life, including his Harley Davidson, his big red truck, the Green Bay Packers, his home, and our hound dogs.
We can’t believe Dallin is gone and that we will have to go on without him. We hope he is riding fast and free, with no worries and no problems, and knowing how very much he is loved and missed. There will be a memorial service for Dallin on Monday, July 2nd, at 6:00 pm at the Chalet, in Midway, Utah.
All friends and family are invited to join us. Please bring a blanket if you’d like to sit on the grass. A light dinner will be served.
