Dan Harris, age 80, of Point Cedar, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. He was born on August 1, 1938 in Bolivar, Missouri, the son of Joe and Verda Harris. On October 5, 1957, he was married to Joycelyn Marie “Joyce” Cummings.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Harris; his parents; and four brothers, J.R., Jerry, Dean and Roy Harris. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and resident of Point Cedar for forty-three years. He enjoyed outings, barbeques and gatherings with his family.

He was loved and will be missed by all. Survivors include four children, Cindy Johns of Bismarck, Derrell Harris of Butler, Missouri, Jimmy Harris and Johnny Harris, both of Point Cedar; and seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends and family will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at the Harris home, 434 Beech Drive, Amity, Arkansas, located in the Point Cedar community.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www. davis-smith.com.
