Magee, Sr. passed away peacefully on January 27, 2019 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his wife, Louella Ball Magee. He leaves to cherish his memory six children: Selarstean Mitchell (Lee), Daniel Magee, Jr. (Pauline), Bobby Magee (Winnie); Patricia Fears (Nate), Joyce Smith (James), and Calvin Magee (Rose).

He also leaves one sister, Ora Jean Young, and one brother, Lenzie (Bobbie) Alford; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 for 6PM at Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, 3802 Martin Luther King Blvd. , NOLA.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 1038 Highway 586, Foxworth, MS for 11AM. Visitation at 10AM. Interment will follow at Little Rock Cemetery, Foxworth, MS.
