Daniel Lynn Myers, 65, of Christiansburg, passed away at his home on May 19, 2019. Dan was preceded in death by his mother Annie Jenelle Myers, his sister Rebecca Myers McCall, and special grandmother Kathleen Wilson Myers (“Menome”). He was survived by wife Bonnie McCoy Myers, daughter Emily L. Myers of Atlanta, son Tyler A. Myers of Christiansburg, father John B. Myers Jr. of Christiansburg, and brother John B. Myers III (wife Eileen Myers) of Staunton.

Dan graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1972, attended Virginia Tech, and received his Associates Degree from New River Community College. He worked for over thirty years as a local real estate agent, appraiser, and broker. Dan was the current Master of McDaniel Masonic Lodge #86 in Christiansburg.

He was an active member of the community and willingly gave his time wherever he was needed. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Grand Lodge Masonic Relief Fund, 4115 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Virginia 23223-4926, in Dan’s name. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.

The Graveside Service with Masonic Rites will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, with Father Alex Darby officiating.
