Obituary for Daniel Martin McMearty Daniel Martin McMearty, 78, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Pruitt Health. A memorial service will be held at 1PM Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Fire Church, 4323 Concord Parkway. Born on October 31, 1940 he was a son to the late Edward and Helen McLean McMearty.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie McMearty. He was a US Navy veteran. He retired after 39 years from the New Jersey Transit where he worked as a conductor.

In his spare time, he enjoyed visiting and ministering to those in nursing homes, prison, and juvenile detention centers. Left to cherish his memories are wife, Mary Baaden McMearty; daughters, Christine Spiers (Lou) and Catherine Goodwin (Tom); step-daughter, Barbara Baaden; son, Daniel J. McMearty; step-sons, Chris Baaden (Patricia) and Michael Baaden; sisters, Catherine Kelly (John), Mary Callahan (Tom), and Joanie Hogan (Brian); brother, Bobby McMearty; and grandchildren, Alexandrea, Tyler, Thomas, James, Andrew, Molly, Madison, Maci.
