Frank “Dewey” Durrell Taylor, 60, of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Dewey was born August 10, 1958 in Concord to the late Joseph Frank Taylor and Peggy Love Taylor. His grandparents were Minnie and Dolph Love.

Dewey worked in racing. He was a plumber, farmer and beekeeper. He enjoyed hunting and watching NASCAR.

Dewey sang in the choir at Mallard Creek Baptist, Charlotte. He spent time feeding the homeless. Survivors include mother, Peggy Love Taylor of Charlotte and sister, Eunice Wilson and husband, Sammy, of Stanfield.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Mallard Creek Baptist Church, 3001 Morehead Rd, Charlotte, officiated by Rev. Tommy W. Bright.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Mallard Creek Baptist Church. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Taylor family.
