Phyllis Kinsaul Shoe, 69, passed away at her home in Mount Pleasant, NC, on December 8, 2018, after several years of declining health. Mrs. Shoe was born February 10, 1949 in Greenville, NC to Ned and Jaxie Kinsaul who preceded her in death along with her sister Bonnie Kinsaul, and a half brother and sister, HC and Barbara Knsaul. Her first husband, Rev.

Roger Lowder, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Shoe received her undergraduate degree in Home Economics from East Carolina University and her graduate degree in Education from UNCC. Her professional education career included North Hampton High School, Dunn High School, Ranson Middle School, Northeast Middle School, Coolwood, and Independence High School.

She retired in 2001 after spending time in Stanly County Schools serving as a teacher observer. She is survived by her husband, Larry L. Shoe, her son, Adam (Anne) Lowder, daughter, Amy Lowder Black, and four grandchildren, Ryan Hitapole, Callie Lowder, Alayna Lowder, and Michael Black. Services for Mrs. Shoe will be held on December 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church, 20987 NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle, NC 28001 where she was a member.

Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 20987 NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle, NC 28001, in lieu of flowers . Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Shoe family.
