Donald Odell Huneycutt Sr, 77, of Stanfield NC passed away Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at his home at 5:52pm, surrounded by his family, Mr. Huneycutt was born July 31, 1941 to the late James and Cara (Smith) Huneycutt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Darrell and Timmy Ray Huneycutt, granddaughter Tisha Beth Carter, grandsons James David, David Hiatt Jr, TJ Carter Jr, and sister Peggy Morgan. Donald was retired from the family business, Huneycutt Roofing.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Brenda Huneycutt, son Donald and wife Heather Huneycutt, daughters Robin and husband Patrick Carter, Tammy Britt, Lori Huneycutt, Carolyn, Lisa and husband Mike Talent, Amy and husband Joey Goodman, and Tina Dennis, nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Brothers Ted, Jim , Frank, Richard, Keith, and Jeff Huneycutt. Sisters Pat Caudle, Judy Mills, and Doris Morton.

The family will receive friends Friday December 7th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Saturday December 8th at Friendship Baptist Church; 9360 Oak Grove Rd. , Stanfield, NC 28163, at twelve noon officiated by Reverend Clint Lewey of Friendship Baptist Church and Reverend Kevin Munson of Landmark Missonary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery; 22182 Canton Rd. , Albemarle, NC 28001. To celebrate the life of Donald Huneycutt, flowers may be sent to Hartsell Funeral Home or the residence.
