Daniel Martin Slayback, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his residence. Daniel was born on June 18, 1944 in Rabbit Hash, KY to the late Otis Elmer and Eleanor Slayback (nee Stephens). He is also preceded in death by his grandfather, T.H. Slayback and beloved daughter, Kimberly Phillips.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Judith Slayback (nee Feldhaus); daughters, D’Anne Cheatum (Donnie), Angela Deaton (Derek); step sons, James Bullock, Jon Bullock… Read More » (Beverly), Jason Bullock; son in law, John Phillips; sisters, Catherine Henson, Judith Parker, Sharon Notestine (Steve); and he was the loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Daniel farmed his entire life and was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, Crittenden and Boone Union #304, Grant County Cattleman’s Association, and a member of Sherman Church of Christ. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.

Daniel will be remembered as a man with generous heart and will be missed by many. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Stith Funeral Home 7500 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042. Burial will immediately follow at Beaver Lick Cemetery.
