Mr. Danny Lewis, 62, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Brown Springs Church of God with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brown Springs Church of God on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, from 6:00-8:00pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Dwight Stubbs, Jerry Anthony, John Shoemaker, Mike Mathis, Sr., Michael Mathis, Jr., and Jarrett Fuller Mr. Lewis was born September 29, 1955, in Thomasville, GA, to James and Ruby Harrison Lewis.

He was Pentecostal by faith and had previously worked as a truck driver. Mr. Lewis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Babe. Fishing was a favorite pasttime of his.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Lewis, and by two infants, Faith Lewis and Nicholas Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Anita Lewis of Mauk, GA, by his mother, Ruby Lewis of Box Springs, GA; by a son, Robby Lewis (Jennifer) of Mauk, GA by three brothers, Carlos F. Lewis (Gwen) of Columbus, GA, Jimmy R. Lewis (Veronica) of Box Springs, GA and Ricky R. Lewis (Mary) of Box Springs, GA; by eight grandchildren, Jonathan Lewis, Caleb Lewis, Cadie Lewis, Emily Hurst, Andrealee Brantley, Jasmin Brantley, Taylor Montgomery, and Tucker Fogarty; and by his mother-in-law, Lovie Hale. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
