Danny Ray Hunt, age 67 of Burlington, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a short battle with cancer. Born on June 6, 1951 in Dillon, SC to the late Esau Hunt and Gladys Hunt. He worked as a tree foreman for forty plus years, work which he really enjoyed.

He loved NASCAR racing, old cars and fishing, and his family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anna Hunt, children: Kenneth Lytch (Mark) of Lynchburg, SC, Danny Lee (Laura) Hunt of Haw River and Ashley LeAnna (David) Cathey of Burlington, father in-law James L. Anderson, grandchildren: Emerson, Camryn and Carsyn Hunt, Johnathan and Jared Ball, Daiviya and Daijah Cathey, siblings: Faye (Warren) Powell, Barbara (Larry) Barfield, Kathy Hunt and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by siblings Dianne Herring and Ricky Hunt.

Grandchildren: Kloey and Krystlynne Hunt and LeAnna MyAsia. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday March 2, 2019 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham. The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday and at other times the home of Danny and Laura Hunt.
