Danny Ray McClain January 14, 1953 – May 24, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Funeral services for Danny Ray McClain, 66, of Anacoco, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Revs. Joe Wellman and Ted Hardan officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Anacoco Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 26, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service in the Funeral Home. Danny was born on January 14, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Robert Franklin and Myrtle Dehart McClain. He passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at his residence in Anacoco with his family by his side.

Danny proudly served in the United States Navy. He loved to go fishing and hunting, watch westerns on television and listening to Elvis Presley, Bob Wills, Ray Price, Ernest Tubb and all the classics. Danny was a friend to all who met him and loved to laugh and cut up.

Above all, he loved his family and spending time with them was his greatest joy. Danny is preceded in death by his father and his nephew, Daniel McClain. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Samantha Green and husband Johnny of Haughton, LA; mother: Myrtle Peecher and husband Carl of Leesville ; brothers: Bobby McClain and wife Elaine of Anacoco, Larry McClain and wife Estella of Tuscon, AZ , Archie McClain and wife Shelly of Anacoco; grandchildren: Joseph Green and Jeremiah Green; and a host of nieces and nephews.
