Bennettsville, SC Daphne Lawson Woodle, 82, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, surrounded by members of her family. Born March 25, 1937 in Carbon Hill, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late William Frank and Ruby Lee Avery Lawson. She was retired from the Social Security Administration and was of the Southern Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Daphne enjoyed working in her garden, planting flowers and cooking. She is survived by her son, Ray Hall and his wife Gwen of Bennettsville; twin sister, Dot Anderson of Bennettsville; grandsons, Kevin Griggs and Eric Griggs. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; her husband, Raymond Woodle; son, Darrell Glenn Hall; brothers, Charles, Curtis, Junior, and Sonny Lawson; sisters, Beulah Welch and Margaret Eads.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park, with visitation from 3 until 4 p.m. just prior to the service at Burroughs Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 181 E. Evans Street, Florence, SC 29506 or to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1039 Cheraw Hwy, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
