Obituary for Darlene Louise Letko Darlene Louise Letko, 74 years old, passed beyond the veil Saturday, June 2, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Anthony and Anna (Petta) Melone on March 5, 1944, Darlene graduated from Bloom High School. She worked various secretarial positions and on April 11, 1964, she married James Stephen Letko at San Rocco Catholic Church in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Darlene and James lived in DeMotte, where she enjoyed time spent with her family, kite flying, artisan pen making, decorative glass design, helping in food pantries and studying at ARC Bible class. Darlene is survived by her beloved husband, James Stephen Letko; son, James Aaron Letko and wife, Kimberly (Fisher) Letko; grandson, Aaron James Letko; daughter, Susan Michelle (Letko) Watson and husband, Scott Watson; Sisters, Josephine (Melone) Wilkinson, Lucille (Melone) Dannenbaum and brother-in-law, David Dannenbaum. A memorial gathering will be held at Memory Lane Funeral Home, 6305 W. Lincoln Hwy (US 30), Crown Point, IN, on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A 1:00 p.m. service will be officiated by Father Dennis Faker.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the United Service Organizations or the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements entrusted to Crown Cremation Services. www.
