Obituary for Darlene Sue Schmeisser Sloan Darlene Sue Schmeisser Sloan, age 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning in a Chattanooga hospital. Darlene was the daughter of the late Leona Mae Brown Schmeisser and Charles William Schmeisser. Her half sister, Mable Joann Barnett also preceded her in death.

Darlene worked as a book keeper most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, baking wedding cakes and animals. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother!

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Dwight M. Sloan of Cleveland, her daughters, Shawn Sloan Godbee of Cleveland, Karen L. Ahl and her husband Dan of Greenville, South Carolina, her son, Randel A. Sloan and his wife Jianping L. Sloan of San Diego, California, her grandchildren, Camryn Barnes, Kaitlyn and Rebecca Godbee, J. B. Barnes IV and Ethan M. Sloan, her cat, “Miss Kitty” and several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive. The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Jim Hibbard officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until the Service time at 10:00 on Friday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
