Emma Sue Sadler, 74, a lifelong resident of McMinn County passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1943 in Athens, TN a daughter of the Joseph & Mattie Beasley. She was a member of the Union McMinn Baptist Church.

Emma Sue loved to cook and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Sadler, one daughter Tammy Harper, four sisters Elsie Tallent, Eva Goodman, Dorothy Webb and Ana Lou Reynolds… Read More » and four brothers Ed, D.C., J.D. and Grady Beasley. Emma Sue leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter Debbie Tomlinson and husband Kevin, two sons Eddie Willis and wife Tonia and Glade Willis III and his wife Karen, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Thursday afternoon, July 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. Interment will follow in the Union McMinn Baptist Church Cemetery with David Harper, Grant Willis, Wayne Willis, Mike Wildes, Christian Willis and Peyton Cook serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends in Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the 3:00 PM service time at the funeral home.
