Obituary for Darren Wynn Burge Darren Wynn Burge, 53, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, former resident of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2019. A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a memorial service held at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Stark of The “ROC” Reflection of Christ Church.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 23, 1965, he was the son of David Wayne Burge and Barbara Jo (Fontenot) Burge. Darren worked as a pipefitter supervisor and in the home remodeling business for many years. He was a member of the Insulators Union and the IBEW Electrical Union.

Darren was a fun guy who was known as the life of the party. He enjoyed water skiing, fishing, and anything else on the water or outdoors. Darren could always do anything that he put his mind to.

He loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jo Burge; and his brother, Little David Burge. He is survived by his loving wife Lisa Burge of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his daughter, Danielle Stone of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his father David Burge and wife Tootsie of Port Neches; his grandchildren, Deonna “Shae” Stone and Ashton Lyne Trahan; his siblings, Buffie Burge of Brenham, Kristie Burge of Sulphur, Louisiana, Dustin Burge of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Tammie Dufresne of Austin; and his nieces and nephews, Tristie Burge, Trevor Burge, and Kaenan Hardin.
