OBITUARY Gloria M. Merrill July 20, 1926 – December 25, 2018 Gloria Mary Merrill passed away on December 25, 2018 at the age of 92. Gloria was born in New Orleans, LA. On July 20, 1926 to Wilburn and Nelda Briggs.

She enjoyed her trips to the Holy Land and Alaska and loved playing the piano. Gloria loved the Lord, her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Briggs; husband Willard Hart Merrill and her daughter Linda Joyce Merrill.

She is survived by her brother Robert Briggs, sister Beverly Pounds, son Craig Merrill, daughters Diane Martin and Jerri Ruiz, her grandchildren, Matthew Capo, Christopher Merrill, Logan Ruiz and Rachel Martin, great grandchildren Colton Merrill and Parker Martin. A celebration of Gloria’s life will take place at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont, Texas at 2 PM on December 29th, 2018 and will be officiated by Pastor Scott Briggs. A gathering to share memories of Gloria will be held from 12:00pm-2:00pm in the visitation state room.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery (weather permitting). Family pallbearers will include her three grandsons, Matthew Capo, Christopher Merrill and Logan Ruiz. FAMILY Wilburn Hart Briggs, Father Nelda Mary Briggs, Mother Charles Briggs, Brother Robert Briggs, Brother Beverly Pounds, Sister Willard Merrill, Husband Linda Merrill, Daughter Craig Merrill, Son Diane Martin, Daughter Jerri Ruiz, Daughter Matthew Capo, Grandson Christopher Merrill, Grandson Logan Ruiz, Grandson Rachel Martin, Granddaughter Colton Merrill, Great Grandchild Parker Martin, Great Grandchild Gloria also leaves many family and friends to cherish her memory.
