David was born January 28, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, to his loving parents Harry and Dorothy Etling. David A. Etling is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia (Pat) Anna Etling nee Patterson.

Children: Cheryl Ann Becher (husband, Ron), Steven Allen Etling, and Susan Annette Etling, Kristene (Krissy) Rene Smith. Grandchildren: David Allen Etling, Jessica Lynn Staley (husband, Jeremy), Nicholas Adam Becher, Susan Victoria Becher Shultz (husband, Nathan), Devin Tyler Etling-Turner, Alexander Reed Etling and Dominique Trey Etling-Turner. Step-granddaughter, Maggie Marie Langston (Fiancée, Casey Wild).

Great grandchildren: Riley Nicole Etling, Calliope Jane Staley and Vega Arie Essence Mitchell. Great Step Grandchild: Jaxon Paul Wild. Sisters: Fern Leise and Dorothy Ann Edwards.
