David’s Obituary David A. Jackson, 62, passed away Thursday May 9, 2019 at Leavenworth Medicalodge. David was born September 9, 1956 in Leavenworth Kansas, the son of William and Eleanor (Coleman) Jackson. David had many friends and touched so many lives.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed nature hikes, home gardening, picking wild plants and mushrooms, and studying local history and artifacts. David worked many years as a custodian for the Leavenworth Public Library and the First Presbyterian Church of Leavenworth. He married Shiela Renensland in 1981 and fathered two children Josh (36) and Kazz (34) both of Leavenworth.

David was preceded in death by his sister Vincenta Simmons (Tootsie), and he is survived by his brothers Edward, Eugene, and Anthony, one grandson Xavier Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins that will miss him dearly. The family will have a celebration of life potluck get-together at the Youth Achievement Center (314 Delaware St) in Leavenworth at 2:00pm Sunday May 19, 2019.
