David Rivedal, 74, died Sunday, December 30, 2018, after a struggle with dementia. David was born January 20, 1944, in Mason City, IA, to Arnold D. and Marne E. {Nelson} Rivedal. He spend the majority of his adult life serving his country in the US Army.

David is survived by his wife, Lisa A Metcalf Rivedal; as well as his two daughters, Pamela Rivedal Hodges, and Kristin Rivedal Whitehead, both of Kingman, AZ, and their families. His son David A. Rivedal, Jr., predeceased him in 2015; his family survives. Furthermore, he is survived by sisters Monteen Solberg, San Diego, CA, and Marne Sumner, Richmond, KY, and brother, Steven Veach (Louise Torio) San Diego, CA, and their families.

Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA. Online tributes may be made at www. RobertsFuneralHome.com.

The family wishes to thank the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, OH for all the care David received and Roberts Funeral Home for its assistance during this difficult time. The family suggests memorials to a charity of one’s choice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
