David Malcom “Bud” Brown, age 73 of Robbins died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Peak Re – Pinelake in Carthage. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Pleasant View Friends Church conducted by the Rev. Quint Dunlap and Rev.

James Valk. Burial will follow in the Morgan-Brown Cemetery. A native of Moore County he was a son of the late Jim and Blanche Ray Brown.

He worked for Industrial Air Inc. and was a logger. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, cooking and building things. He was preceded in death by sisters Geneva Marsh, Roberta Teague, Georgia Valk, Dorothy Williams and Janie Freeman; five nephews and four nieces.

He is survived by, sisters Virginia McIntyre of Troy, Clara Saunders of Robbins, Elizabeth Poole of Sparta, Kay Elliott and husband Raymond of Robbins, Rose Cassady and husband Greg of Brown Summit; brother Winfred Brown and wife Shelby of Robbins; 16 nephews, 14 nieces and many great nephews and nieces. Kennedy Funeral Home is serving the Brown family.
