Obituary for David “Don” Johnson Johnson, David Donald “Don”, 89, passed away Saturday, September 15 at Heartsong Memory Care. Don was a retired TARC driver, a member of Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, a loving father, papaw, and friend.

Preceding him in death is his wife of 62 years, Alice Jean; and a son, Doug Johnson. Left to cherish Don’s memory are his children; David Johnson Jr., Robert Johnson, Sarah Wilding (George), Julie Hayden (Jeff), and Nancy Johnson; 9 grandchildren, Allyson, Julie, Max, David III, Brian, Sarah Beth, Christine, Jackie, and Aaron; and several great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass for Don will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at his church, 4335 Hazelwood Ave, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens – West.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Dr. Don’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff of Heartsong Memory Care and Hosparus for their kindness and the excellent care they gave to their father.
