OBITUARY David Duke Heatherly October 19, 1951 – October 8, 2018 David Duke Heatherly, born Oct. 19, 1951, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Oct 8, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian Stephens Heatherly, his parents, his brothers, and his nephew, Todd.

David is survived by his daughter, Amy Eidson, his granddaughter, Lauryn Heatherly, the light of his life, his sister, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. David was born in Tennessee, where his long love for the mountains began and endured throughout his life. David equally loved the ocean and he rejoiced in all of God’s creations on earth.

David loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. David loved life, and devoted much of his time to saving lives both living and unborn. He loved God, and was active in his Church, Fairview Baptist Church in Gadsden, AL.

He firmly believed in loving the least of his fellow inhabitants of this earth. David’s remains will be interred at 2:00 pm on Friday Oct. 12, 2018 alongside his wife at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.

The service will be presided over by his Pastor, Gary Williams. Many thanks are extended to Susan, Shane and Lisa who helped ease his journey to the next life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to NAMI – ALABAMA 1401 I-85 Pky, Ste.
