David W. Floyd, 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 after a short illness. Due to the impending weather conditions, arrangements will be announced at a later time. Mr. Floyd was the son of the late Wilmer Alexander Floyd and Lucy Knight Floyd.

He served in the Pacific in World War II with the Navy and was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church. Mr. Floyd owned and operated David’s Restaurant in Lake City for forty-eight years. David is survived by Mamie Lou Floyd, his wife of seventy years; daughters, Yvonne Floyd Stuckey and her husband Hal of Stuckey, SC.

and Cynthia Floyd White and her husband Don of Piedmont, SC; a son, David W. Floyd, Jr. and wife Lonna of Atlanta, GA. He leaves seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One brother, Charles William Floyd of Charleston, and one sister, Judy Floyd Johnson of Clemson, SC.

Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Faye Floyd and his siblings, Raymond Floyd, Elizabeth Floyd Hale and Helen Floyd Montgomery. Memorials may be made to Lake City First Baptist Church, PO Box 820, Lake City, SC 29560.
