Jack Wilkes, 79, husband of the late Aszelea Powell Wilkes, died Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence. Mr. Wilkes was born on April 23, 1939 in Florence County, son of the late Zollie Wilkes and Juanita Matthews Wilkes. Surviving are his children, Tammy (Mark) McAllister, Jack (Akeede) Pickett, Cindy (Maxie) Gaskins and Leann (Christopher) Flagler; grandchildren, Jackie Buddin, Michael Buddin, Jordan Wilkes, Emme Wilkes, Kaylee Wilkes, Bree Flagler and Zane Flagler; great grandchildren, Chrissy Weaver and Lee Weaver; siblings, Tom Wilkes, Zollie Wilkes, Gertrude McGee, Bonnie Ruth Lee and Maria McGee.

Mr. Wilkes was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Kelsey Weaver; and siblings, Dewey Wilkes, Jesse Wilkes, Troy Wilkes, Woodrow Wilkes and Ida Mae Oliver. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Lower Lee Cemetery, Scranton.
