Mr. David Ingram Allen of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at his home. Born on September 13, 1962 to the late Thomas and Aileen (Hedgespeth) Allen, he was 56 years, 1 month, and 22 days of age. Mr. Allen professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

He was a former employee of Beams Grocery and Thrift Bargain Center, and had continued his mother’s Avon route after her passing. He was a well-respected man in the 1st District, and worked many years as a polling clerk in his precinct. He enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and old money, and took many a leisurely walk through the woods enjoying God’s creation.

He leaves to mourn his passing: Four siblings: Brian Allen, Regina Thompson and husband Freddy, Shelia Warren, and Letha Davidson, all of Campbellsville, One aunt: Kathryn Garnett of Campbellsville, Two uncles: James Hedgespeth and Donald Underwood, both of Campbellsville, Nieces and nephew: Natalie Hall, Nathan Thompson, and Courtney Mikel, One great-nephew: Oliver Mikel, A cousin: James Ray Hedgespeth of Campbellsville, And several other family members and friends. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Allen on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Mt.

Carmel Church Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of Gideon Bibles or donations to Hosparus of Green River. Those can be made in person at the church during visitation, or online anytime through the “How Can I Help” tab on the front page of this site.
