Obituary for David J. Allison David J. Allison, October 4, 1952- July 9, 2018 Beloved son of Gerald D. (deceased) and Janet E. Allison entered into rest, Monday evening, July 9, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. David was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1952. He grew up in the rural farming community of Milan, Michigan, and later moved with his family to Saline, Michigan in 1964.

After graduating from High School David went on to Michigan Tech where he studied mechanical engineering. David later moved to California where he worked as an audio engineer at Faith Broadcasting Network, at Faith Center in Glendale. He retired in 1991.

David was an accomplished drummer and guitarist, and played with various bands throughout his life in Michigan and California. When he returned to Michigan, he worked at Fred’s Restaurant in Roscommon, and later the Timbers at Higgins Lake, while continuing to write and produce music. David was also a skilled carpenter, avid baseball fan, and occasionally played league baseball.

He had a terrific knuckleball! He also loved biking around Higgins Lake. David is survived by his, loving mother, Janet E. Allison, sister, Rebecca (nee Allison) and brother-in-law Richard Gagnon of Traverse City, Michigan; sister and brother-in-law, Janet Marie Allison (Victor Jurkowski), Mount Pleasant, Michigan; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel C. Allison (Bonnie Anderson) of Mill Valley, California.

Nieces and nephews; David Gagnon (Beth Christensen) of Ann Arbor, Grace Jurkowski, Jacob Jurkowski of Mount Pleasant, and great nephew, Graham G. Gagnon of Ann Arbor; many cousins, and aunts and uncles. A memorial service for family and close friends will be held at a later time. Charitable contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Munson Hospice House of Traverse City, Michigan.
