David J Harrison, 38 years old, passed away on November 19, 2018, at his home in Kennedy Township, Pennsylvania. He was surrounded by love while being cared for by his wife, Samantha Harrison, his mom and sister, Ginger and Anna Harrison and his uncle, Jim Quinlan. Dave lived through and endured colon cancer for 7 years.
Diagnosed in December 2011, Dave had countless surgeries and several rounds of chemo and radiation. Throughout it all, Dave chose to live life to the fullest and never let the cancer dictate his path in life. Dave was raised in Jacksonville, Florida.
He attended high school at Trinity Christian Academy and graduated from University of North Florida with a degree in Logistics and Management. In 2008, Dave moved from Jacksonville to Pittsburgh to continue his career with FedEx Ground. It was through a work trip that Dave met his future wife Sam.
They dated for 7 years before getting married on May 30, 2015 at Armstrong Farms. Dave’s passions included playing poker, spending time with his wife and family and playing and watching various sports including baseball, football, and golf. In the past year, Dave and Sam chose to make the most of the time they had left.
Their adventures included two trips to Hawaii, several trips to Vegas (Dave’s favorite city), Mexico, and a trip to Colorado. A luncheon reception for the family and friends will be held at Olivia’s Banquet Hall on Saturday, November 24th from 2pm-6pm.
