David’s Obituary David John Schreiner, 72, of 1148 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC, died Monday, February 11, 2019, in his home. Mr. Schreiner was born in Milwaukee County, WI, on February 10, 1947, and was the son of the late Albert and Harriet Guy Schreiner. A Navy veteran, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer following 24 years of service.

A Catholic by faith, he enjoyed membership in the American Legion Post 102 in Ahoskie, the Navy Fleet Reserve in Chesapeake, VA, and Tracker’s Hunt Club in Lunenburg County, VA. Surviving are his wife of nearly 9 years, Catherine; two sons, David and Joe; a sister, Carol; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Malala; and many extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fleet Reserve Club, 4060 South Military Highway, Chesapeake, VA 23321.
