David Keith Styron, 68, of Cedar Island passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Cedar Island. David attended Pilgrim’s Rest Original Free Will Baptist Church. He will be missed for his mechanical abilities that helped so many commercial fishermen.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Cedar Island United Methodist Church with Rev. Merle Hunt, Rev. Jerry Box, and Rev, Nelson Konnce officiating.

Burial will follow at the Cedar Island Community Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Susan Styron of the home; son, William Jackson Styron of Bettie; daughter, Beverly Styron Gaskill of Cedar Island; son, David Keith Willis of Harkers Island; five grandchildren; brother, Daniel Eugene Styron and wife, Lida of Stacy; brother, Bradley Styron and wife, Debby of Cedar Island and his beloved pet, Bubba. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Bea Styron; son, Jason Wayne Gillikin; brother, Timothy R. Styron; two nephews, Benjamin C. Stryon and Benjamin G. Styron.
