Obituary for David M. Kennedy David M. Kennedy, 78, of Benicia passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon. He was born in Bakersfield and has been a Benicia resident for the past 48 years. David worked as a service technician for a commercial laundry equipment company for 35 years, servicing Mare Island and the entire Bay Area before retiring in 2001.

David was an avid guitar player, using his talent for Flamenco dance classes and recitals, and even built his own guitar. He and his beloved dogs, Maggie and Hattie, enjoyed duck hunting and fishing on the Klamath with family and friends . He was an accomplished photographer and loved taking pictures of waterfowl on our beautiful coastline.

He is survived by June, his wife of 53 years; daughter Coleen (Eric) Moulton; son Patrick Kennedy and his dog Cocoa. He was beloved “Poppy” to his grandchildren Cheyenne Kennedy, Paige Moulton, Conner Kennedy, Julianne Moulton, Amber Kennedy, Lexi Moulton and Mason Kennedy; and his great grandchildren Jaysen & Jaxen. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3rd at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel.
