A Celebration of David “Dave” L. Vega’s, life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 6p.m. where his family and friends will share memories and stories. It will be held at the Moose Lodge #1634, 221 North Madison Street, Litchfield, IL 62056. An open house will begin at 5:00 pm until the time of the memorial and also afterwards.

Mr. Vega age 70, of Litchfield died Tuesday, March 19, 2019, with his family by his side in his home of 47 years. Retired, he worked for Roller Derby Skate Cooperation for 35 years in Litchfield. Later he was the owner and operator of Bi-County Asphalt Sealing and Striping Inc. in Litchfield.

He was a very active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1634, active auxiliary member of VFW Post #3912, lifetime member of AMVETS Post #16, active member of the Litchfield Eagles Aerie #4499. He enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and listening to music from his generation. He loved cooking for family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born July 27, 1948, in Litchfield, he was the son of Dave Vega Sr. and Betty Alice Webb Vega Littlehale, of Litchfield. Both deceased. He married Patricia S. Oller on February 7, 1970 in Litchfield; She survives.

Surviving also are their children, Shane A. Vega and girlfriend Jackie Bailey of Litchfield, Branden L. Vega and wife Heather of Litchfield, Nicole L. Vega and Fiancé Nathan Ondrey of Litchfield, Kyle W. Vega of Litchfield; His siblings, Jerry Vega and wife Cathy of Litchfield, Pam (Vega) Finnegan and husband Jim of Staunton, Donna (Vega) Mullen and husband Eric of Carlinville, Sue (Vega) Roach of Raymond, Gary Vega and wife Jan of Litchfield, Tena (Vega) Stamer and husband Dale of Killeen, Texas, Lori (Vega) Brown and husband Robert of Taylorville; His grandchildren Victoria, Blake, Alexis, Dade, Kyra Vega, Christian Spenseberger, Hannah (Vega) Hast and husband Dakota, Andrew and Conner Sarver, Brenna, Elearose, Leighthyn Vega Ondrey. His great grandchildren Xander and Xaler Hast, Khloe Hodge; and his many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Memorial donations to assist with medical expenses may be directed to the family at Litchfield National Bank in care of Patricia Vega, 316 North State Street, Litchfield, IL 62056.
