David Lawrence Wilson, 54, of Marietta, SC; but formerly from Asheville, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. He was born on December 6, 1963 in Polk County, NC to the late David B. Wilson and Joigena Jones Wolfe of Asheville. David worked as an electrician for electrical companies and lastly for Lowes Home Improvement.

He had a passion for the outdoors and loved fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle. David attended First Church of Nazarene in Greenville, SC. Along with his father, David was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Wilson.

Including his mother, Joigena, he is also survived by his wife, Maria Bogan Wilson; his son, Christopher Wilson of Asheville; his step-son, Joshua Hardin of Sandy Springs, GA; and his brother Joey Wilson (Carrie) of Statesville, NC. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the First Church of Nazarene in Asheville. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1pm-2pm at the church.

Pastor Andrew Crimmins will be officiating. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Wilson Family.
