Obituary for David Robert Lehner David Robert Lehner age 89, died Thursday, January 3, 2019 unexpectantly at his home . He was born May 4, 1929 in Norton to Gladys (Bailey) and Ellis Lehner. He graduated from Willis High School in 1947 and worked at his parents grocery, Lehner Market until 1960.

He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army for 41 years and was a lifelong Farmer having started farming with his wife’s family shortly after leaving active duty. He was an avid reader, enjoyed smoking cigars and playing cards. David was a member of the Delaware Antique Farm Machinery Club, Delaware Fish & Game Club, Masonic Lodge and American Legion.

He was a former member of the Delaware Elks where he served as Exalted Ruler. He is survived by his children, Richard (Christina) Lehner of Delaware, Amy (John) Runyan of Ashley, and Earl (Beth) Lehner of Delaware; Grandchildren, Benjamin Lehner, Andrew Lehner, Todd (Jamie) Etgen, Amanda (Ryan) Rhoades, Meghan (Matt) Yarnell, and Sarah Lehner and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel; brothers, James Lehner and Charles Elmer Lehner; a grandson Eli Lehner.

Friends may call on Monday Jan. 7, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home, 32 W. Winter St. in Delaware, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday Jan. 8th at 11:30 AM with Pastor Philip Wilden officiating.
