Richmondville-David “Scott” Sperbeck, 61 of Richmondville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Albany Medical Center. Born September 28, 1957 in Cobleskill, he is the son of the late Fred and Justine (Osbourne) Sperbeck. Scott was a graduate of the former Richmondville Central School.

He worked at Bellevue Builders for 25 years and more recently worked for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in Hobart as a packager. Scott cherished and loved his family very much. Survivors include his wife, Debra, whom he married February 25, 1978 and his two children: Matthew (Jessica) Sperbeck of Sharon Springs, and Jesse Sperbeck of Richmondville, two sisters: Susan (Wayne) Robinson of Woodbury, TN, and Kathy Hall of Murfreesboro, TN; one brother, Robert (Debra) Sperbeck of Richmondville, one grandson, Freddrick Sperbeck.

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Sperbeck. There will be no formal services as per the family’s request. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marathon For A Better Life, P.O. Box 268, Warnerville, NY, 12187 or Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 297 River Street Service Road, Oneonta, NY, 13820.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY.
