David’s Obituary The retired Owner and Founder of Dave’s Express Delivery, in Cheektowaga, NY, passed away at Beechwood Nursing Home (Hospice Wells House), in Amherst, New York. In 1949, he played Baseball for the Hamilton Cardinals, A team in the Intercounty Baseball League, which was a St. Louis Cardinals Farm team. He was the loving son of the late Lottie (Nee Piesczynski) and late John Tarapacki, and beloved husband of the late Theresa (nee Kolek) Tarapacki who predeceased him on March 13, 1998.

The devoted father of Darleen P. (fiancé John Ball) Wawrzyniec, David C. (Rosanne) Tarapacki, Don J. Tarapacki and Danielle A. Mazurek. Loving grandfather of Todd (Julie) Wawrzyniec, Dayna Tarapacki, Danette (David) Black, Daniel (Jarrad) Tarapacki, Derek Tarapacki, and the late Dale Tarapacki and dearest great-grandfather of Alyssa, Sky, Anna, Dia, Kylie, and Dax. David is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St. (near Harlem) where services will be held on Monday at 8:15 AM and at Queen of Martyrs Church, located at 180 George Urban Blvd, in Cheektowaga, NY at 9 AM. Burial will follow at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, in Lancaster, New York.
