David’s Obituary David W. Owens, Falls, formerly of Clarks Summit, died on Saturday morning at Allied Svcs. Hospice in Scranton. He was the widower of Joan Crosby Owens who died in 2005.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Edwards Owens. He was a proud Navy veteran and prior to his retirement was employed by Fowler & Williams Trucking Co. ; and later for the Borough of Clarks Summit. He was a member of the Clarks Summit Fire Co., VFW, Post 7069, and the Abington Sportsman’s Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbequing and camping with his family. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Belch and her husband, Jeff of Falls; a grandson, David Belch and his wife Allison of Eaglesville, PA; a granddaughter, Julie Haldeman and her husband Justin, So. Abington Twp.

; great grandchildren, Avalyn Belch, Ellie and Tommy Haldeman; and several cousins. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Allied Svcs. Hospice for the wonderful care they took of David.

A private graveside service will be held in Clarks Green Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, PA.
