David Wardlaw Millard, 81, of Summerville, husband of Cecile Smoak Millard passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2 o’clock at Christ Church Cemetery, Hwy 174, Adams Run, SC 29426.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to BBN Radio 90. 7 P.O. Box 7300, Charlotte, NC 28241. David was born on April 12, 1937 in Cornelia, GA, son of the late Moses Kenyon and Curtis Seigler Millard.

He had a love for people and enjoyed singing in church groups. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Meggett, SC. Survivors including his wife Cecile are: five children: Ward Millard (Rosalyn) of Johns Island, Patty Hodges (Teddy Hodges, Jr.), of Walterboro, Pam Hickman (Darryl) of Walterboro, Will Millard (Amy) of Summerville, and Chris Millard (Alyssa) of Summerville; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four siblings: Ann Ellerbee of Valdosta, GA, Josefa Smoak (Jerry) of Mt.

Pleasant, Nick Millard of Michigan, and Wesley Millard (Dottie) of Florida. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister: Lynn Janus.
