ibcshawneee.org for livestreaming of the service. David was born June 13, 1957 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Lawrence & Daisy (Rainey) Dickens. He attended Moore Schools, Seminole Jr. College, Rose State, and Southern Nazarene University.

David served in the United States Coast Guard. On June 28, 1975 he married Pamela Been in Moore, OK. He worked as a trainer for OG&E, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Gideons.

He had lived in Shawnee for 36 years. David was preceded in death by his father and his older brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife, Pamela, of the home Daughter: Heather Lenz 2 Sons: Christopher Dickens and Joshua Dickens 5 Grandchildren Mother: Daisy Dickens 2 Brothers: Doug Dickens and Steve Dickens Sister: Cathy Evans.
