Heaven has received another angel. Debborah K. “Debbie” Mott was born on January 18, 1954 to Charles “Almy” and Kathryn A. Mott and received her call home on January 10, 2018. Debborah was an amazing nurse who spent her professional years at Sunrise, Mountain View, and Kindred Hospitals.

She spent her whole life pursuing her passion of nurturing people. She loved doing wound care in the Kindred Wound Clinic. Her kind and genuine spirit made her easily loved by those she worked with and met.

She was known as the neighborhood mom by all her daughter’s friends. She was adopted as the Troupe Mom of Angela’s dance troupe. Debborah would tell anyone who would listen how proud she was of her daughter Angela, who followed the path of healing.

She loved watching Angela dance; it brought her great joy. She loved going to church with her granddaughter, Sophie, and loved to teach her new things. Debborah loved to spend time with her family, take her puppy Precious for car rides, playing Pokemon, taking photographs, and travelling.

One of her favorite things was impromptu road trips to ghost towns around Nevada. She wanted to one day go to Tombstone and hunt Ghosts with Sophie. She loved card games and would get a kick out of playing with great-nephew Morgan and Sophie as well as her cousin Dick.

Debborah is survived by her daughter, Angela Mott of Las Vegas, her granddaughter Sophie Davis of Las Vegas, her twin brother Dennis (Betty) Mott of Rock Springs, WY, her brother Daniel Mott of Las Vegas, NV, her sister Diana Mott of Las Vegas, NV, her brother Karl (Sandi) Mott of Duchesne, UT, and her baby brother Dean (Paula) Mott of Cody, WY, Aunt Betty Hamblin of Duchesne, UT, Aunt Helen Stranger of Houston, TX as well as a multidue of nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly. She was preceeded in death by her mother, father, and baby brother David Mott. A private viewing for the family was held on Monday January 15th.

A mass is scheduled for Saturday February 3rd for friends and family in Las Vegas. A Life celebration will be held the afternoon of Memorial Day, May 28, 2018, beginning at 2:00 p.m. and dinner at 4:00 p.m. at Karl Mott’s home, 25704 West 1100 South, Utahn. The burial of the cremated remains will be held on May 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Strawberry Cemetery.
