Deborah Kay Byrum, 70, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She was born on August 2, 1948 to Thelma Emmons and was adopted by James Dunham and Stella (Scott) Dunham in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1966.

Debbie married the love of her life, Dannie Lee Byrum. They shared many years of a happy life and marriage together. Debbie worked at ACME and for the City of Muskogee as a computer programmer for many years until her retirement in 1997.

She was a long time member of Muskogee First Baptist Church. Debbie loved her children and adored her grandchildren. She loved spending as much time as possible with them.

Debbie will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dannie Byrum; parents, Jim and Stella Dunham and Winfred and Thelma Emmons; son, Gregory Allen Sullivan; siblings, Ronald Emmons, Sid Emmons and Joyce Keith; nephew, Michael Keith. Debbie is survived by her daughter, Robin Ross and husband Jeremy; granddaughters, Jaylee Ross and Kierstyn Hubnik; great-granddaughter, Reilynn Lomeli; sisters, Joann Argo and Pat Hansen; nephews, Dolin Argo and wife Becky, John Hansen, Craig Emmons, Sid Emmons and wife Robin, and David Hansen; nieces, Kim Knudsen, Gwen Coburn and husband Bob, Rhonda Morrison, and Christine Sarraco and husband John; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5:30PM-7:30PM, Monday, May 6, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A celebration of Deborah’s life will be 2PM, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Muskogee First Baptist Church with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Dolin Argo, John Hansen, Dilon Argo, Dallas Hansen, Craig Emmons and David Hansen serving as pallbearers.
