Deborah Lynn “Debbie” Dollar, 55, of Sanford, NC passed away Thursday October 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 19, 1963 in Long Branch, NJ to Ann and Wilbur Stephens Jr. Deborah was preceded in death by her father Wilbur Ralph Stephens Jr. Deborah was a lover of animals and she turned her passion into a career working as a dog groomer. She loved to spend time outdoors tending to her garden and visiting the beach especially with her friend Rochelle Roberts.

She is survived by her parents Ann and Bobby Hanchey of Wallace, NC; two sons Stephen Dollar and wife Angela and Dustin Dollar of the home; two grandchildren Grant and Dalton Dollar; a sister Stephanie Rhodes and special brother-in-law Tim Rhodes; four brothers William Ralph Stephens III of Florida, Sandy Marks of Sanford, James Rosser of Atlantic Beach, and Matthew Hanchey of New Bern; 8 nieces and nephews; and special friend and caretaker Roy Godfrey. A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Thursday November 1, 2018 at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption at 42 Deep River Road Sanford, NC 27330. Services are entrusted to Miller Boles Funeral Home, Sanford.
