Debra Ann Beesley, 57, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, June 05, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, June 09, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Ken Wiggins officiating. Debra Ann Beesley was born February 10, 1961 to Robert Allen Barr and Hazel Jeanette Barr.

Debra was a devout Christian and a loving and selfless person who lived her life to the fullest. Debra received her bachelor’s degree in Education from Columbus State University and she was employed by AFLAC for fifteen years as a Senior Legal Specialist. Debra enjoyed arts and crafts, painting and crocheting.

Debra was like a mother to everyone, including her AFLAC family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be forever missed Other than her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Janette Dawson.

Survivors include her son, Jarrod Dew and “daughter-in-love” Roselyn of Box Springs, GA; sisters, Linda Jeter and husband Jimmy of Mauk, GA and Cindy Wiggins and husband Ken of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Audrey and Eva Dew and cherished fur babies: her cat Gus Gus and dog Sunny who were lovingly adopted by Debra’s friends at AFLAC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John B. Amos Cancer Center, 1831 5th Ave, Columbus, GA 31904.
