Debra R. Jergens, age 62 of Litchfield, MN died on Thursday August 30, 2018 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service in Litchfield, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at church.

Interment will be held at Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society; LLS.org. Debra Rosaley Jergens, the daughter of Lester and Madalyn (Albertson) Weber was born on November 4, 1955 in Perham, MN.

She graduated from Winthrop High School in 1973 and continued her education at the Hutchinson Area Vocational Technical Institute (now Ridgewater College). In 1973 she had the honor of being named Miss Sibley County. Debbie was united in marriage to Craig Jergens on October 25, 1975 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop, MN.

Craig and Debbie moved numerous times while following Craig’s construction jobs before settling in Litchfield in 1992. She was a secretary, a receptionist and self-employed with Mary Kay before becoming the bookkeeper at Bernie’s Fairway and Econofoods in Litchfield. She had a deep and growing faith in her Savior Jesus Christ.

Even at the end of her battle with leukemia, Debbie trusted in her Lord, until he called her into the joy of her eternal home with him. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, MN. Debbie had the gift of hospitality, was outgoing and will be remembered as a ‘people person’ and for her big smile.

She was a good planner and a great cook. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, walking, doing arts and crafts, being on the lake and spending time with her family and friends. Debbie was blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren whom she adored.

Debbie is survived by her husband Craig of Litchfield, MN; children Sean (Christie) Jergens of Delano, MN and Brent (Alison) Jergens of Milaca, MN; seven grandchildren Gabriel, Samuel, Joshua, Elaina, Madalyn, Norah and Clara; siblings Jeanie (Don) Lubitz of Verndale, MN, John (Karla) Weber of Winthrop, MN and Daneta (Erwin) Lopez of Oskaloosa, Iowa; mother Madalyn of Winthrop, MN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Lester and nephew Jacob Weber.
