MADISON-Dell Marie Anderson,88, of Madison, Wisconsin was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on August 15, 1929 and passed away on June 6, 2018. Dell enjoyed an active life and worked for a number of organizations that helped those with developmental disabilities, including Opportunities, Inc She enjoyed dancing, bingo, puzzles, root beer floats and her beloved cats.

She also enjoyed visiting with her friends, family and her support workers from Options for Community Living, Dane County Teamwork Associates, Goodman Center and St. Mary’s Adult Day Health Center. Dell was a long-time member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Madison. She loved Sunday services and singing hymns.

Her favorite was one written by Mary Baker Eddy. The first stanza reads: O gentle presence, peace and joy and power; O Life divine, that owns each waiting hour, Thou Love that guards the nestling’s faltering flight! Keep Thou my child on upward wing to-night.

Dell was preceded in death by her beloved siblings: Warren Anderson and Joyce Ensminger. Dell is survived by six nephews and nieces and their families, who offer their deepest gratitude for the consummate care and kindness all her friends and support workers provided her throughout her life. A memorial service with a reception afterwards will be held June 18, 2018, at 11am at Ryan Funeral Home , 2418 N. Sherman Ave, Madison, WI.
