Delmar Ray Sergent, 81 of Whitesburg, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at his residence. Delmar was the son of the late William Henry and Ollie Cook Sergent. He was the widower of Bonita Taylor Sergent.

Surviving is 1 son: Delmar R. Sergent Jr. of Vermillion, Ohio; 5 daughters: Kayetta Atkinson of Vermillion, Ohio, Debbie Brashears of Whtiesburg, Malissa Webb of West Virginia, Cheryl Caudill of Whitesburg, and Heather Fulton of Whitesburg; 1 brother: Hobert Sergent of Whitesburg; 2 sisters: Emma Bentley of Payne Gap of Lavinia Farley of Indian Creek; grandchildren: Dale Sergent, Christy Braden, Mikey Atkinson, Brittany Musser, Brook Holbrook, Aaron Tolliver, Chase Brashears, Lauren Webb, Hayley Fulton, and Sarah Fulton; 10 great grandchildren; close friend: Stephen Majority. Delmar was preceded in death by 1 grandson: Sean Atkinson; 5 brothers: Carl Sergent, Lester Sergent, Linville Sergent, Bob Sergent, and Henry Sergent; 1 sister: Alkie Sergent. Funeral: 1:00 O’clock P.M. Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating.

Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
