The world lost a caring soul when Delois Fay Ferguson Aaron went home to be with her Lord on December 23, 2018. Delois was born in Upshur County on February 7, 1933 to Wayne Dee and Gladys Marie Ferguson. She attended elementary school in Ore City and New Diana.

She graduated from New Diana High School in 1951. Services for Delois will be held Monday, December 24 at the Grubbs Loyd Funeral Home in Diana, Texas. Interment will follow at Jones-Aaron Cemetery in Diana.

Delois is survived by her children: Perry Aaron, Jr. of Gladewater; Peggy Henry of Big Sandy; Betty Riggins and husband, Larry of Troup; Debra Johnston of Ore City. And her “extra child,” the granddaughter she raised, “Destiny Sheridan and husband Leslie, of Diana.

Delois is survived by her siblings: Carolyn Morris and husband Dan of Harleton and Dewayne Ferguson also of Harleton. Seven grandchildren: Christopher Aaron and wife Trisha of Granbury; Perry Wayne Aaron and wife Jessica of Longview; Dee Riggins and wife Karen, of Spring; Lara Beverly and husband Shawn of Tyler; Laura Riggins of Tyler; Lariann Haftel and husband Tim of Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Matthew Aaron of Longview. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Dee Ferguson and Gladys Marie Simmons Ferguson Stout; her husband Perry Hobby Aaron; and three daughters; daughter Ruth Ann Aaron, and infant daughters, Dorothy Kay Aaron and Annie Lou Aaron; and one grandson, Daymon Lynn Aaron. She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, June Ferguson and son-in-law Melvin Henry.
