Obituary for Delores Stella McNeely DELORES STELLA MCNEELY, formerly of Soap Lake, WA passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. She was born April 12, 1928 in Java, South Dakota to Magdelena and George Bieber. She was a graduate of Mobridge High School in 1946.

After obtaining her teachers certificate, she taught elementary school for a few years. Delores married Vern F McNeely, June 1, 1947. They made their home in Timber Lake, SD where they raised four children.

As well as being a wonderful wife and mother, Delores also helped out in various family businesses with her husband. They owner a Five and Dime store as well as a Boot and Saddle Shop, both in Timber Lake, SD. She has always been very active in church and civic organizations.

After selling their business, she joined her husband in travels for 5 years until 1979 when they moved to Deaver, Wy for 16 years. In 1995 they relocated to Soap Lake, WA. Delores had many hobbies.

She loved to read, work crossword puzzles, cook, sew, crochet, and knit. She was also an avid bowler, winning several league trophies while living in SD. Her favorite times were spent with friends and family.

She will be remembered fondly by family members for the wonderful Blue-Jean Quilts and Care-Bears she made for all of them. She is survived by her 2 sons, Keith and Jerry, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Nettie and Renny and her sister in-law, Arlene. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Vern McNeely, her daughter, Judy Cavier, her son, John McNeely as well as two sisters, Elsie and Viola and one brother, George, son in law, Paul Cavier and Grandson, Paul Cavier Jr. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
